Small yet diverse
Keramoti is a small coastal village in Northern Greece, approximately 40 km from Kavala. Despite its small size, Keramoti offers a diverse natural setting and many options to explore nearby.
Just 100 meters from Mint Keramoti, Ammoglossa beach offers five kilometres of sandy shoreline with shallow, crystal-clear waters and a Blue Flag distinction. On the other side, a pine forest creates a natural transition between land and sea.
Keramoti belongs to a protected Natura 2000 area, known for its biodiversity, natural lagoon, and rich wetland ecosystems. From May to October, migratory birds find a temporary habitat here, and the wetland can be explored by boat, offering direct contact with this rare and living natural environment.
Just steps from Mint Keramoti, the ferry port to Thassos connects the mainland with the island, with regular departures throughout the day.
Within a short drive, you can reach Kavala, the Nestos River delta, the town of Xanthi, and nearby beaches and villages along the coast.
Keramoti remains simple and relatively undiscovered, offering access to diverse surroundings while preserving its quiet and authentic character.
